Burberry launches a new uncomplicated logo and vivid monogram

Ricardo Tisci, the current Creative Director of Burberry, recently launched brand new editions of both the Burberry logo and monogram – they were designed by Peter Saville. The new logo is a lot cleaner in design in comparison to the previous logo which had a knight (carrying a shield and a flag) on a horse, plus the name of the British label and the word ‘London’ underneath it.

I like the new logo for its simplicity: it only contains the words ‘Burberry’ and ‘London England’ in black. In my outlook, the logo is really independent from the traditional feel which the knight and the horse brought to the old logo. Meanwhile, the new monogram of the British label is very colorful: it is a motif featuring colors such as orange and cream, along with interlinked initials of the name of the founder of the label – Thomas Burberry, which has black outlines. I think the interlinked initials – ‘TB’, add a classical feel to the monogram; also, the colors used in the monogram really make it a very pretty one.

The best trench coats to get this summer

In my outlook, a trench coat is an ideal coat for the summer. This because of the materials they are sometimes made from, like cotton which is a really comfortable material to wear during the hottest season of the year.

The trench coat is of a beautiful red color and it’s water-resistant too, making it ideal to wear when it unexpectedly rains during the summer. It is made out of taffeta and is not prone to creasing, plus it has a hood which can be detached; wear it with an outfit comprising a black shirt, a pair of dark-colored cigarette trousers and high heeled sandals

Whilst Shopping…

What to wear when out shopping

Shopping seems to be the hardest of tasks to do sometimes: not only is there endless walking involved, there is also the big puzzlement over what to wear during it. Keeping it simple enough and making your personal style look totally effortless are two really good ideas.

Burberry Landmark Print Silk Shirt
There is nothing quite like a white shirt in the moody spring weather, which is sunny one moment and cloudy the next. Featuring a print rich in history, the shirt is made of silk, which also gives it a rather luxurious feel.

Claudie Pierlot Pearl Pocket Skinny Jeans
A pair of medium-rise skinny jeans gives off a really casual but provocative vibe; wear it, even though it’s just too impractically black for the spring weather.

Alessandra Rich Swarovski Buckle Belt
A red belt nicely contrasts with the white shirt and the black jeans; the belt also very glamorously features Swarovski crystals on the buckle, as well as the loop.

Dolce & Gabbana Playing Card Print Sicily Bag
The bag boasts of a print of a playing card, which featured in the Spring/Summer 2018 collection for the Italian brand and there are also two easy ways to carry the bag because of its top handle and the fact that it also comes with a detachable strap; really artistic and vibrant.
