Beyoncé is one sensational music diva, who has been in the limelight first, as one-of the-trios comprising the R&B sensation, Destiny’s Child, and then as a solo artist. Married to acclaimed rapper Jay-Z, the young songstress has won five Grammy awards, and even earned a Golden Globe nominated performance in the musical hit Dreamgirls.
A feminist, a fashion aficionado, and one of the most influential people in the world, she has also been heralded as the most powerful female musician by Forbes for the year. When Beyonce was part of Destiny’s Child (a band, that was managed by her father, Matthew Knowles), it was tough for her to standout much.
It was only when she embarked on a solo career, and a movie career, with the whimsical comedy Austin Powers in Goldmember, that she found proper fame. Her first solo effort reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart, with numerous hit singles, such as ‘Crazy In Love’, featuring Jay-Z and ‘Baby Boy’.
She has been described to be a wonder performer on-stage, and even has an alter-ego that helps her to perform on-stage, with so much charisma and brilliance – that is amazing! It’s kind of like having an imaginary friend in your childhood; I have never had any, I have only had totally affectionate, cool and ferocious dogs!
