Michelle Obama is the current First Lady of the United States. As a lawyer and author, she is a role model for women everywhere, for her work in poverty alleviation, nutrition, physical activity and healthy food habits. Campaigning for her husband is something she does out of pure obligation, rather than enjoyment – she once quipped that visiting so many living rooms has given her ideas on how to decorate her home better.

A charismatic speaker on stumps, Michelle has also cutback on her career in an effort to support President Obama through his presidential term.  Previously she was a board member for Treehouse Foods, Inc. – a major food supplier to Wal-Mart but as First Lady she is busy with hosting dinners and visiting impoverished estates, such as that of homeless shelters, and soup kitchens.

Michelle Obama has also advocated in support of military families, tackled the growing problem of obesity, worked with professional career women, to teach them about balancing their professions and their families, and promoted arts and educational initiatives. She has also contributed to turning the White House into a green initiative, where organic produce was regularly grown, even going so far as to plant the first vegetable patch infront of the building in Capitol Hill.

When it comes to fashion, Michelle Obama likes to wear fashion finds off the high street, as well picks from couture. She has been photographed in creations from J.Crew, Michael Kors and Jason Wu. Her favourite style cut is that of a sleeveless dress, and she has aimed to use all of the cameras directed at her, during her husband’s time in power, towards helping the military and working families, with any pressing issue that they might have.
