Phillip Lim’s show was packed with a nicely selected floral-print which embodies the season of spring really nicely. Modern creative flair was exhibited aplenty, whether in a dark sheer chiffon dress adorned with decorative plaid patterns in shades of blue, or a patchwork centrefold dress in midnight blue with classic floral prints and sheer chiffon panels.
Phillip Lim also showcased some well-tailored white skirts and jackets, and a rather opulent antique white faded botanical print jumpsuit, reminiscent of fashion of the 1910s. One of my favourite pieces from this season’s collection was a classic white asymmetrical draped dress with a botanical floral print and nylon inserts.
Furthermore, floral print dresses and jumpsuits, a lot of layering and some key motifs: plaid, mixed prints, charming woodland prints, made their way across the runway gracefully. The New York designer should consider opening up a store in Britain some time soon.
